During the winter I have exceptionally dry skin.

Same in the summer when we have excessive heat warnings.

One of the things I do to add extra moisture to my skin, and to stop that itchy, scratchy feeling, is break out my CeraVe Moisturizing Cream.

This is the best lotion, I've found, for dry skin relief for mature skin.

It's infused with hyaluronic acid and ceramides so it helps the skin hold onto hydration while it restores the skin’s lipid barrier.

What's the skin's Lipid Barrier?

The lipid barrier is the outermost layer of the epidermis. It consists of dead skin cells and lipids, which are the skin’s natural fats.

The lipids are responsible for protecting the skin from environmental damage, minimizing water loss (transepidermal water loss), and maintaining the skin's hydration, firmness, and softness.

The lipid barrier is essential for healthy, hydrated, and youthful looking skin.

As we get older our skin is more vulnerable to environmental damage and water loss due to its inability to restore itself, naturally. Thanks aging... thanks...

So, we need to help it out. That's where CeraVe's Moisturizing Cream comes in for me!

I use this moisturizer every, single, day... everywhere!

It keeps my skin looking and feeling soft. And, it really locks in moisture so it doesn't look dry or feel itchy.

This is by far my favorite all over dry skin moisturizer. I use it all over my entire body and my face.

How I use the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream to relieve my dry skin.

I use my CeraVe Moisturizing Cream as part of my overall anti-aging skincare routine.

After I bathe I lightly blot off, leaving my skin damp.

I grab my CeraVe Moisturizing Cream and apply it all over my entire body while my skin is still damp. This helps to trap in that excess moisture laying on my skin.

A little tip for you... your moisturizers are always going to work better, and be more effective at hydrating your skin, if you apply them to damp skin.

It feels so nice!

Applying my CeraVe this way, immediately stops my skin from feeling, and looking, like sandpaper!

Not only does it lock in moisture, but it helps the skin look younger because moisturized, hydrated skin always looks younger and plumper.

How I use the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream on my face.

After I apply my Curology and all of my Serums: (Vitamin C, CoQ10, Matrixyl 3000, Matrixyl Synthe'6) to my face, I take about a dime size amount of my CeraVe Moisturizing Cream, add 2 drops of my Timeless Hyaluronic Acid Serum to it, rub them together in my fingertips and apply that to my face, neck, upper chest and the back of my hands.

It locks in all of those yummy serums and helps them to do their jobs.

Does this Dry Skin Moisturizer absorb quickly into your skin?

Yes! It feels like silk going on. It's not greasy and quickly absorbs into your skin. Leaving it feeling hydrated and smooth.

The CeraVe Moisturizing Cream is:

  • Non-comedogenic

  • Fragrance-free

  • Oil-free

  • Hypoallergenic

  • Gentle, non-irritating formula

  • Suitable for sensitive skin

The CeraVe Moisturizing Cream comes with a pump and without.

Initially, I purchased the tub with the pump, because I like this application method better than continually putting my fingers into a tub.

When I emptied my "pump" top tub, I simply I repurchased the tub without the pump and just placed the pump top onto my new tub! Saves money, and resources.

With over 9,000 reviews and a 4.5 star average rating, this is the best dry skin moisturizer for mature skin on Amazon!
