The Benefits of Matrixyl 3000

There are so many anti-aging skin benefits to using a Matrixyl 3000 Serum.

My favorite is from Timeless Skincare. It's simply called Matrixyl 3000.

I love that the Timeless Matrixyl 3000 Serum is formulated with Hyaluronic Acid which makes it super hydrating, too.

This formula is also paraben free, cruelty free, fragrance free, and no color or dye is added. And, it's made in the USA.

What does Matrixyl 3000 do?

Matrixyl 3000 is an anti-aging peptide that helps your skin act more youthful.

The Timeless Matrixyl 3000 Serum contains "Matrikines" which is an anti-wrinkle complex containing polypeptides, the messengers of skin repair.

According to Timeless, it can boost collagen synthesis by up to 350%, while decreasing wrinkle density and volume.

Which is better, Matrixyl 3000 or Matrixyl Synthe'6?

The question should not be which is better, it should be what is the difference between Matrixyl 3000 and Matrixyl Synthe'6?

Matrixyl 3000 helps to reverse and inhibit glycation damage.

What is Glycation Damage?

Glycation damage is when our skin looses collagen and elastin due to aging and environmental factors.

As we age, and are exposed to environmental damage, such as from the sun, our skin becomes weak, and less supple.

Signs of glycation damage are easily noted on the skin's surface as fine lines, wrinkles, sagginess, and a loss of radiance.

Matrixyl 3000 helps to rebuild your skin from the inside out. It stimulates the skin’s collagen repair mechanisms which improves overall skin elasticity, firmness and texture.

And again, with the addition of Hyaluronic Acid to this formula, your skin's hydration levels are increased, making it smoother and healthier. That's a huge plus in my book, especially if you have both dry and mature skin... which I do!

Matrixyl Synthe'6 Serum contains a deoxygenated lipopeptide that stimulates the six main ingredients of the skin at the matrix and dermal-epidermal junctions: (collagen I,III, IV, fibronectin, hyaluronic acid).

Like Matrixyl 3000, this helps the skin to repair itself from the inside out. It helps the skin to become healthier and is literally smoothing your skin from the inside out.

You can read more about Matrixyl Synths'6, here.

So, it's not a question of which is better Matrixyl 3000 or Matrixyl Synthe'6. Or which one should I use? It's more of here is why you need to use both of them daily to reap the best anti-aging benefits!

How to store Matrixyl 3000 Serum

To get the best possible results from your Matrixyl 3000 Serum, it should be housed in an opaque, glass container, in a cool environment and away from direct sunlight to ensure it remains potent and you get the longest shelf life.

The Timeless Matrixyl 3000 Serum comes in the correct type of container ensuring the longest shelf life from your serum when stored properly.

Personally, I keep all of my serums refrigerated so they're not subjected to temperature fluctuations and to extend their shelf life.

I reviewed The Best Skincare Mini Fridge to store your serums, moisturizers, Retin-A - all of your skincare! You can read that article, here.

Should I be using Matrixyl 3000?

Yes! Matrixyl 3000 is great for all skin types: Normal, Dry, Oily and Mature skin! It's definitely one to add to your anti-aging skincare arsenal!

Can I use Matrixyl 3000 Serum everyday?

Yes, you can use it daily, preferably before your moisturizer.

Personally, I use my Timeless Matrixyl 3000 Serum twice a day, in the morning and in the evening.

Parting thoughts...

I've been using the Timeless Matrixyl 3000 Serum for just under a year and love the benefits I'm seeing. It's definitely one of my favorite anti-aging serums!

I've noticed my skin looks plumper and more hydrated. Especially on my cheeks where I've sustained the most sun damage and have the largest loss of both collagen and elastin.
